Derby Caribbean Carnival

QUAD will be attending the Derby Caribbean Carnival this weekend with 'William' the Giant puppet. William was created as part of a Heritage Lottery funded project to create eight 'Giants' around the city this summer. Different groups are researching historical characters from Derby's past and making them into 'Giants' to star in various events around the city. William is based on a Mill worker who is said to haunt Derby's Silk Mill after being pushed down the stairs!
Derby's Caribbean Carnival is organised by the Derby West Indian Community Association and promises to be a lively and vibrant event.
Saturday 19th July @ The Market Place 12 - 6pm
Sunday 20th July @ Osmaston Park 12 -7.30pm
