QUAD Derby

Two budding journalists from Littleover Community School in Derby visited the QUAD site today and interviewed QUAD Marketing Officer Jessica Saunders.

Hannah Foxon and Sophie Thompson, along with their classmates are taking part in the Newsday 2008 competition in association with Learnnewsdesk from the Guardian. The national competition invites schools to make a newspaper in a day, and the schools can win top prizes for their efforts.

Hannah very competently interviewed Jessica and had obviously done a lot of research about QUAD as she asked some probing questions about how QUAD will benefit Derby and in particular the Cathedral Quarter. It was then Sophie's turn to take photos to accompany the article.

Jessica commented "I was very impressed with how professional the interview was, and I'd like to wish Littleover Community School the best of luck in the competition."
