A thousand people attended Outdoor Screenings
Outdoor screening events presented by QUAD at Calke Abbey attracted audiences of a thousand people over two nights recently.
Calke Abbey was the setting for 'outdoor spectacular' film screenings of the 1961 classic The Innocents and the 2010 winner of four Oscars, The Kings Speech. The screenings were held in the grounds outside the house on a giant 40ft x 20ft inflatable screen.
QUAD's Director of Audience Engagement, said "There was a really good mixture of local and Derby audiences coming together to see films past and present, including The Innocents, a film which many may never have seen before. Audiences arrived as soon as the doors opened and set up tables, chairs and picnics. There was a real sense of occasion, which was set off by both the fantastic location and the quality of the films on screen."
Further outdoor screenings presented by QUAD will take place later this month at Kedleston Hall; The Kings Speech (12A) will screen on Saturday 27th August at 8.15pm and The Duchess (12A) will be screened on Sunday 28th August at 8.15pm.
Ticket prices for these special screenings tickets are £10.00 and are available from QUAD Box office by calling: 01332 290606 or clicking here.
