Continuing QUAD's celebration of sound, vision and collaboration in v.01, Loose Connection draws together some of our regular Connect @ QUAD events to present an open performance of live music, digital art, VJ-ing and film. The night kicks off with The Long Player album playback of Cerulean by Baths accompanied by visuals created by the Five Lamps Films film-making community and Pixel Synthesis. The tables are turned later in the evening when the audio takes its cues from the visual as local electronic musicians Mender and o_S_k_m collaborate to create a live soundtrack to the stunning vision of Fritz Lang's classic silent film, Metropolis. Continuing the audio visual experiments into the evening we invite participants and budding visual artists to plug into the 'Open Screen' to interact with and create a the night's very own unique VJ set.
