QUAD Roll Out First Business Courses

Public Speaking Course

QUAD is rolling out a new set of Business Training Courses next month, with the message that it is very much 'business as usual'. Robert Colbert, QUAD's Business and Enterprise Director, said that whatever speculation there was about proposed cuts to its funding, they had no impact on its corporate courses.

The courses begin on 8th November with a Public Speaking And Presentation course run by Nick Britten, a national newspaper journalist and experienced public speaker, and Paul Smith, a trained actor and specialist in voice production and control. The one-day, highly practical course aims to help give delegates confidence and professionalism in their public speaking, whilst tackling common problems such as nerves and poor communication skills.

This is followed by Shakespeare for Leaders, run by 1623 Theatre Company, on 23rd November. This is a dynamic and engaging one-day workshop where participants learn from Shakespeare's characters to explore ageless leadership qualities, specifically how to inspire and motivate people.

Mr Colbert said QUAD was keen to expand its business offer and felt the courses offered something very different from the norm. He said: "We are really excited about launching QUAD's Business Training Courses - the pilot sessions we ran earlier in the year received fantastic feedback and we are looking forward to building on that success".
