FORMAT09 International Photography Festival was launched with a special day-long conference. The conference explored the theme of the festival 'PHOTOCINEMA' looking at the idea of the 'cinematic' in photography, photographers as filmmakers, directors as photographers, still and moving image. Examining key ideas and practices by a range of leading thinkers and producers in the field.
Speakers: Martin Parr, David Campany, Victor Burgin, Huw Davies, Rachel Moore, Neil Campbell, Eric Baudelaire and Donovan Wylie. Including a special screening of Nostalgia by Hollis Frampton.
