Combining communication, optimism in human nature and a fantastic sense of humour... this group exhibition presents the best in new graduate work from the Midlands region. All of the artists involved examine everyday events and occurrences, which seem at first glance unremarkable. Through their observations of how people smile, how we perceive God, how we examine daily news events and how we communicate with other people and primates, these artists present a sincere and intriguing view of the world over the past year.
Q Arts has combed the Midlands to tap into a wealth of new arts talent currently being nurtured at universities in Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham and Northampton. In inviting these exciting artists to apply to exhibit, Q Arts has encouraged proposals to reflect the practitioners’ future plans and prospects. Future Focus provides a chance to outline ideas that need support in the development stage and advice for students still at university as well as recent graduates.
