Q Arts and Metro are celebrating Architecture Week with a special exhibition dedicated to QUAD, Derby's new regional centre for contemporary visual arts, film and media, which is set to open in Spring 2008.

The event will feature the artists’ impressions and models of the £10 million scheme, which is to be located on Corporation Street in the centre of the city. Visitors will be treated to a preview of the facilities that will be on offer at QUAD, which is a collaboration between Q Arts, Metro Cinema and Derby City Council. The exhibition will also include an interactive, animated 'walk-through' of some of the spaces in the QUAD building, which has been developed by young people working with Q Arts.

There is a series of special family events and screenings. On the evening of 22^nd June, Peter Clegg, senior partner at architects Feilden Clegg Bradley, will deliver a talk about QUAD and the work of his practice, which was named Architect of the Year in 2004.
