Derby City Well Dressing 2010

Artist: QUAD Artists

Venue: Participation Space

Date: 2nd & 3rd July 2010

Well Dressing is a traditional custom, all but unique to Derbyshire, of decorating wells and springs with pictures made from natural products set into clay filled frames. Find out more about this ancient custom by watching the well dressers working on the dressing.

Visitors were able to chat to the well dressers and take part.

This theme of the Well Dressing celebrated Florence Nightingale, to mark the centenary of her death.
