Paper Sculpture

Saturday 4th February, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Suitable for ages 5+ (under 12's must be accompanied)
Create amazing pieces of sculpture from simple cut and folded paper shapes.

Cool Scrapbooks

Thursday 16th February, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Suitable for ages 5+ (under 12's must be accompanied)
Create unique scrapbooks to collect your memories in.
This workshop is part of QUAD's Arts4Health project. FREE Entry, places are limited, please book in advance through QUAD Box Office.

KidsQUAD

Creative arts activities for children aged 7 - 11 years, without your parents!

Booking essential through QUAD Box office. Children with additional and behavioural support needs will need to come with care support.

Superhero Film Project

14th January - 4th February & 3rd - 24th March, Saturdays 10:30am - 12:30pm
KidsQUAD launches a brand new term of activities based around superheroes. Invent your own super power, create a super-human skill. Does your superhero want to save the world? Or destroy everything in its path? All of these questions will be answered in KidsQUAD's Superhero Film!

Designed to help you plan ahead you can either sign up for the whole term or come along to individual sessions. At the end of this project participants will receive their own copy of the KidsQUAD Superhero Film.

Cost: £70 for the term of eight sessions, (including a 'bring a friend for free' voucher for one session) or £10 per individual session

14th January Introduction to film-making, become a film-maker and learn how to use a camera, tripod and lights, invent your own superhero and have a go at writing a script.
21st January Mask-making and costumes, bring your superhero character to life by creating masks and costumes.
28th January Film-making fun. Become a director, actor, producer, set-designer and more.
4th February Lights, Camera, Action! Have a go at filming.
Break for half term. Separate KidsQUAD half term activities will be available. Please see February brochure or website for details.
3rd March Sound effects for film, voice-overs, explosions and more!
10th March Experiment with digital music-making and create a sound track for the film.
17th March Poster making, create your own poster to advertise the film.
24th March DVD Box Design, make your own crafty packaging.

KidsQUAD Half term activities

Extraordinary Inventions

Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th February, 10:30 am - 12:30pm
Cost: £20 for both sessions

What would make the 'every day' object more exciting? Ever thought "If only there was a gadget to make this task easier"? What if there was a 'tool' or a gadget that could turn down the volume on your teacher or your parent? What if there was a gadget which would do your home work for you or tidy your bedroom? There isn't!? Then it's about time you invented one. Use your imagination to create a 3-D model of your very own "Extraordinary Invention".

Digi-sQUAD

Digital projects for 12-16 year olds, to learn new skills and explore creativity through technology.

Young people are unaccompanied during the sessions, parents will need to fill in a registration form from QUAD prior to the course, any children with additional and behavioural support needs will need to come with care support. Places are limited, please book through the QUAD Box office.

Half term activities

Digital Superheroes

Wednesday 15th & Thursday 16th February, 1:30pm - 4:00pm
Cost: £30 for both sessions
Learn how to draw using digital technologies and design your own digital superhero. Develop your PhotoShop skills and discover new and exciting ways to create characters on the computer.

Cine Kids Film Screenings

Cine Kids film screenings every Saturday and Sunday and daily during the school holidays, sponsored by Venture Photography.

Cost: £3.50 per person for Cine Kids Club members. To become a Cine Kids club member an annual fee of £12 is payable and covers one family at one address. All children under 12 must be accompanied.
