Berberian Sound Studio (15)

One of QUAD’s most anticipated films of the year. Peter Strickland burst on the scene in 2009 with the sublime Katalin Varga and we have been looking forward to 1970s set Berberian Sound Studio ever since. Toby Jones (finally getting the lead role he deserves) plays Gilderoy, a timid sound engineer employed by an Italian horror studio who has to create noises for a cheap and sleazy Italian horror film entitled The Equestrian Vortex.  Strickland’s paranoid thriller is bound to be resting on Top Ten lists come year end.
