Anne (Sandrine Kiberlain) is a kitchen hand living alone in an old apartment in Bordeaux, who lives a reassuring, quiet and solitary life of work and sleep. When an uninvited visitor arrives at her apartment, she is forced to think about her monotonous routine and we watch as she slowly starts to experience the outside world again.
