“There are such great gags, and it is acted with such fanatical gusto by Barratt that it's impossible not to root for this unlikeliest of heroes
” - The Guardian

Derby Film Festival 2017

Washed-up actor Richard Thorncroft (The Mighty Boosh’s Julian Barratt) has fallen a long way since his career peak in the late 80s playing the lead role of a detective with a robotic eye which can “see the truth” in hit TV show Mindhorn. Having failed to make it big in Hollywood off the back of the show he has now been reduced to battling John Nettles for jobs on adverts for orthopaedic socks. But when a madman (Russell Tovey) begins a crime spree on The Isle Of Man and insists to the police that he will only deal with Mindhorn Richard spots an opportunity to reignite his career. A fantastic comedy featuring a host of familiar British actors embracing the absurdity of the concept, including Steve Coogan, Kenneth Branagh, Andrea Riseborough, Harriet Walter and Simon Callow.
