The Derby Ram
The Derby Ram has long been a symbol of the city. The Ram featured in an ancient folk song, perhaps because Derby had a long established tradition of weekly livestock markets. He was also adopted by the 95th Derbyshire Regiment as their mascot known as 'Private DERBY'. The Derby Ram was created with help from Q Club.
