China Day Two

On the second day of the QUAD delegation's visit to China, this is what they sent via mobile phone...
Day Two
The picture is of a dog beauty parlour Jiefang Bei in Chongqing centre.
We had a meeting with the British Council and a business reception with East Midlands Business delegates and Arts Council artists. Met a life science geneticist who chose his English name 'Falcon' - he said the country is nationalising small independent farms which could have huge impact on people.
Found out that there are NO independent cinema screenings in Chongqing!
The weather is very hot and foggy. We walked over the Jangtze river at night and saw hundreds of towerblocks flaring neon.
Unsurprisingly (perhaps) no one understands the mandarin we are trying to speak!
It's now midnight and I'm watching a bonkers Chinese slapstick Vampire movie for kids on Sky (as research!).
Hope all is well back in Derby LSJKx
