Stop Motion Animation

MUTO: A wall-painted animation by BLU
Hello all. I came across this amazing stop-motion animation created by an artist called Blu in Buenos Aires. It is a strange and amusing piece of work that must of been done over a series of days.
My favourite bit is the cubes coming out of the head that leads on to a little Q*Bert nod and also the way the drawing interact with the real world. Amazing stuff and very inspirational....
I imagine they would have used a technique called onion skinning which allows you to see the previous frames as faded layers, this would allow them to setup camera is similar spot each time.
Check out iStopMotion (MAC), I can animate (MAC/PC) or Stop Motion Pro (PC) if want to try it yourself or get in touch about upcoming animation courses.
And if you know of any buildings we can draw all over then let me know and I'll be down with a very long roller.
Till next time,
