Shoot Derby Was part of Festé Weekend
Shoot Experience worked in partnership with QUAD during Derby Festé to deliver Shoot Derby. Shoot Experience is an experiential photography organisation who use photography, and audience participation to engage people in creative projects.
Shoot Derby Story
Author Berlie Doherty wrote a new fairy tale 'The Leaf Girl' for Derby City. During two days of Derby Festé over 1000 particpants worked with QUAD Shoot Derby Team & Shoot Experience to photograph the story.
Participants were given a single line of text to create a photograph from. Prizes were awarded for 'Funniest', 'Best Use of Location' & 'Best Interpretation of Phrase'. Can you spot the winning photos? Would you have chosen the same ones?
The premiere screening of the Shoot Derby Photo story took place on Sunday 26th September, where actress Gwen Taylor narrated the story and photographs were projected on a large screen on Derby's Market Place.
