Summer Nights' Film Festival - Frequently Asked Questions

Thursday 8 August 2013 to Saturday 7 September 2013

We want you to get the most out of Summer Nights' Film Festival, therefore, we have answered some of the most common questions we receive about our outdoor film screenings and the booking process below:

Q: What time will the screening start?

Doors will open at the time displayed on your tickets and confirmation email. The film will not start until natural light levels are sufficiently low, this will be approximately 30 minutes after sunset.

Q: What happens in inclement weather?
A: Screenings will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions and never cancelled in advance of the screening time as the weather can change rapidly. In the event of a cancellation tickets can be exchanged for another screening during the Summer Nights Film Festival 2013. Refunds will not be given under any circumstances. Please wear appropriate clothing.

Q: Can I bring a disposable barbecue?
A: There will be strictly NO smoking, NO barbecues and NO bonfires on site.

Q: What should I wear?
A: The screenings are all held outdoors so please ensure you wear appropriate clothing but also feel free to embrace the grandeur of the events and turn out in your dapper best! At previous events we have even had patrons arrive in fancy dress appropriate for the film screening.

Q: Will food and drink be available on site?
A: Each venue will have some food and drink provision available to purchase on the night. A range of locally sourced products and cinema snacks will be available but each venue will have its own provision which will differ between venues.

Q: Can I bring tables and chairs?
A: Please note that no seats are provided and you should bring chairs or other suitable items to sit on.  Please do not bring high-backed chairs. Seating is in the open air on variable ground  conditions so please ensure you appropriate provision for your needs . Gazebo-style tents, awnings or canopies are not permitted. Small tables are permitted but they must be kept to the sides or collapsed during the screening.

Q: I have specific access requirements will I be able to attend?
A: Each venue has its own access information and visitors are asked to check with individual venues for specific information.

Q: Is parking available on site?
A: All venues have parking on site. Please check individual venues for specific parking information.

Q: Where and when can I purchase tickets?
A: Tickets are available to buy online up to 2 days prior to the screening or from QUAD Box Office at any time. A limited number of tickets are also available from each venue. Tickets are also available on the night if there is still capacity. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to buy a ticket on the night.

Q: Are there any discounts available for groups?
A: For groups over 10 people, the 11th ticket is free. These bookings must be made through QUAD Box Office in one single transaction by calling 01332 290606. This offer will not be applied retrospectively for any bookings. For groups of 4 or more, the early bird price of £10.50 each will be available to buy online or at QUAD Box Office up to 2 days prior to the screening.
