Sunday Cinema
Sunday Cinema is QUAD's new look fortnightly film club for people who like movies and like talking about them even more!
Come along to QUAD every other Sunday and join host Chris Wakeman and the other Sunday Cinema regulars as they watch a film and then meet together afterwards in the Cafe Bar for a friendly and informal chat about films and much more beyond.
Chris also introduces our Midweek Treat screenings and was practically raised in a cinema seat- he's also a dab hand with a search engine too if he needs to look up an actor or info on another film!
Sunday Cinema gatherings are free to attend (although you still have to pay for your cinema ticket!) and members get discounts off food and drink at the bar. No specific film knowledge is required - the meetings are a friendly and informal way to watch a wide variety of movies and get to meet people in the process.
If you're interested in coming along and getting involved email Chris at chrisw@derbyquad.co.uk, fill out an expression of interest form at the QUAD box office or come along to our next meeting and say hello.
Our next Sunday Cinema screenings are:
Sunday 29th January 2012 at 6.45pm - Shame (18)
The February Experiment:
For the February Sunday Cinema screenings we're going to try something a bit different. Instead of choosing the film in advance of our meeting, you are welcome to join us in the café bar from 5:30pm for a pre film drink. We will then choose which of the films starting at 6:00pm (ish) we would like to watch together.
Our Ferbruary screening dates are:
Sunday 12th February 2012
Sunday 26th February 2012
Join us from 5:30pm and see democracy in action!
NB: Normal cinema ticket prices apply.
As part of Connect @ QUAD Sunday Cinema is a great opportunity to learn about the other free events taking part at QUAD, and a fantastic way to meet like-minded people from the QUAD community.
