Help Us To Help People
QUAD wants to be more than just a place where people visit to see art and film. It wants to be a place where lives are changed, an obvious opportunity for activity where the most disadvantaged and excluded members of the community can feel welcomed and engaged and are given new tools to empower their own lives through the creative power of art and film.
Examples of this work are:
Q Club – an arts club that works with young people within the autism spectrum
GoldsQUAD – a place where people over 60 can meet to explore digital technologies
KidsQUAD – regular programme of activity for kids between 8 & 12 where they can make films, animations and a whole host of other arts activities
These are just some of the things we do.
Commercial activities and funding from Derby City Council and Arts Council England underpin some but not all of the costs associated with these activities. Demand far outstrips what we can provide. The more money we can raise the more we can help transform the lives of young and old people, the disadvantaged and those form hard to reach communities.
