The first of our filmmaker nights encouraging new and emerging film-making talent in Derby and the region, held in association with the University Of Derby and Film City. Come along if you’re a director, writer, producer, musician or just interested in film-making in the region. Film Lounge events will be showcasing new talent and bringing talent to you.
This evening includeds a screening of Goth Cruise, a 'gothumentary' about the enduring allure of Goth culture here and in America; following the fourth annual Goth Cruise in 2007 on a 5 day journey from New Jersey to Bermuda and back again. We see the holiday-makers as they interact with the “normals” and explore the enduring draw of black, soaked through with a darkly wicked soundtrack. Director Jeannie Finlay will be joining us to introduce the screening of her new documentary and share her experiences of being an artist/ film-maker."
