Set in the Brooklyn apartment of the Longstreets, (Jodie Foster and John C Reilly), whose son has been hit with a stick by another boy, the Longstreets have invited the other boy's parents (Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz) to try to come to an amicable agreement on how to resolve the incident. Everything starts cordially but the meeting descends into petty arguments and enjoyable bad behaviour (all fuelled by coffee and alcohol). Funny and witty with 2 two Golden Globe nominated performances from Winslet and Foster.
