The Box, QUAD

Illustrated talk by Brandon Ballengée, Eco-Artist, will talk in relation to his residence at Yorkshire Sculpture Park: 'Monstres Sacrés: Biological Abstractions Sculpted by our Changing Environment'. Over the past decade, Brandon has created interdisciplinary artworks and public programs that re-examine traditional views of nature. His practice strives to portray what we find in today's landscape using both traditional art forms such as painting along with neo-technologies such as high-resolution scanner photography. By chemically altering collected specimens he depicts the way environmental changes sculpt developing organisms.
