A group of asylum seekers find themselves stuck on a remote Scottish island in Ben Sharrock's critically acclaimed comedy-drama Limbo.
Omar (rising star Amir El-Masry), a young Syrian musician, awaits the result of his asylum claim. He feels trapped - not only by the harsh landscape, but by guilt, regret, his loss of identity and his daunting future. However, he isn't alone. In between brief long-distance conversations with his parents and passing interactions with oddball locals, Omar and his fellow asylum seekers attend outrageously misjudged ‘cultural awareness’ classes, binge Friends boxsets, and debate attending the local open mic night, all the while waiting for the delivery of letters that will ultimately determine their future.
Customers seeing Limbo at QUAD can claim a free A3 poster for the film. Just ask when buying your ticket or show your e-ticket to a member of staff. These are available in limited quantities on a first come first served basis.
