Screening to mark its 50th anniversary.
Regan (Linda Blair), the once happy 12-year-old daughter of successful actress Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn) suddenly develops extreme behaviour, becoming violent and abusive. After doctors are unable to help Chris seeks spiritual help and calls in the weary Father Merrin (Max Von Sydow) and his sceptical assistant Karras (Jason Miller). The duo perform a ritual to rid the girl of the disturbing symptoms as supernatural terror threatens their lives and souls. Will the exorcists be able to defeat evil incarnate?
The screening on the evening of Friday 1 December will include an introduction from Fright Club’s Darrell Buxton.
