Set in 2002 in Sacramento, California confused, precocious teenager Christine (Saoirse Ronan) or Lady Bird as she prefers to be called, is drifting through her final year at a strict Catholic school. Full of daydreams and lofty aspirations for her future, she clashes constantly with her pragmatic mother (Laurie Metcalf).
