Following the award-winning 45 Years, Andrew Haigh returns with an adaptation of Willy Vlautin’s acclaimed novel Lean On Pete.

Charley Thompson (Charlie Plummer) is a 15-year-old who has no stability in his life. He wants a home, food on the table and a high school he can attend for more than part of a year. As the son of a single father working in warehouses across the Pacific Northwest, stability is hard to find. Hoping for a new start they move to Portland where Charley takes a summer job with a washed-up horse trainer, soon developing a friendship with a failing racehorse named Lean on Pete.

The screening on Monday 21st May at 6.15pm will include subtitles for those who are D/deaf or Hard of Hearing.
