Roy Scheider lends his intense talent to this taut action-adventure from director William Friedkin, which had the unfortunate luck of being released in 1977 on the same day as Star Wars! A spin on Henri-Georges Clouzet’s magnificent Wages Of Fear, Sorcerer is set on a South American jungle, where a desperate four man team must transport a volatile cargo of nitroglycerine over 200 miles of treacherous terrain in order to stop a potentially disastrous oil fire. With an outstanding score by Tangerine Dream, enter a world where this was the age defining film and Star Wars was merely a forgotten gem!

The screening on Friday 10th November at 8:45pm will be introduced by journalist and film critic Nigel Powlson.
