“Always smart, amusing and engaging.” ★★★★ - Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

"Generously peppered with biting humour and warmed by a generous spirit that extends understand" - The Hollywood Reporter

Set in 1993, Cameron (an outstanding Chloe Grace Moretz), a teen in love with one of her female classmates, gets caught in a moment of intimacy at a high school dance and she is quickly sent off to a teen gay-conversion retreat. Falling in with the 'bad' kids she finds camaraderie and solidarity with her new friends. A hybrid of institutional drama and summer camp film, it is full of humour, and shows a balance in refusing to make anyone a villain.

Appropriate Behaviour director Desiree Akhaven's fantastic adaptation of Emily Danforth's novel premiered at Sundance 2018 to critical praise for its depiction of the horrifying reality of conversion therapy.
