INSIDE: Disabled Artist Commission

19 April 2016
An open call for a disabled artist/collective/company to create new works for QUAD and D-Lab in partnership with LEVEL and Junction Arts

Commission Overview
QUAD and D-Lab in partnership with LEVEL and Junction Arts, supported by DASH, seek to commission a disabled artist or disabled led collective/company to produce new work focusing on the broad theme of ‘Habitat’. This can be interpreted in many ways – including archives and collections.

Submitted work may use any media or a mix of media although emphasis in the selection process will be placed upon the creative use of digital media. The commission can be created through a residency using the Artists’ Studio at QUAD.

The work will initially be exhibition within the QUAD programme with the opportunity to be included in FORMAT17 (as part of FORMAT International photography Festival), on the D-Lab website and at the LEVEL Centre, during 2017.

The selected artist or collective/company will receive a fee of £4000.

There is also a separate budget for travel/ accommodation and production funds to realise the project, as well as additional installation funds for exhibition. The selected artist will receive mentoring from QUAD, D-Lab, LEVEL and Junction Arts.
