Literature events at QUAD in March & April

Events for readers and writers will take place in QUAD throughout March and April, organised by our new Literature Officer Alex Davis. 

Two bestselling authors come to QUAD for a night of readings, discussion, Q+A and book signings in March. When Paul Met Paul features acclaimed horror author Paul Kane and popular thriller writer Paul Finch in a night exploring the fascinating crossover between horror and crime fiction, celebrating the launch of Paul Kane's newest short story collection, ‘Nailbiters’ from Black Shuck Books. When Paul Met Paul takes place on Saturday 18th March from 7:00pm, tickets for the event are £6 and can be booked here.

For fans of Crime fiction there are also a very limited number of spaces available for the Crime Writing Masterclass with Anne Zouroudi on Thursday 16th March from 7:00pm. For more information or to book places please click here

Aspiring writers have aa chance to learn more on a new How to Get Published course which will focus on creating the perfect cover letter, synopsis and sample chapters for agents or publisher submission as well as how and where to research the best place to send your project. Ideal for anyone with a novel underway or finished, this popular course has been run many times at QUAD. How to Get Published course runs over four weeks from Monday 3rd April to Monday 8th May (excluding Bank Holiday Mondays). For more information or to book places please click here.

Those wishing to try their hand at poetry will also have the opportunity to join Sophie Sparham's masterclass on writing and performing poetry. This masterclass will give great tips and advice on how to create new poems as well as tips on how to deliver them to an audience. The masterclass will be a precursor to a six-week poetry course later in 2017. Writing and Performing Poetry with Sophie Sparham takes place on Thursday 6th April from 7:00pm, tickets are £8.
