Film Screenings:
Tuesday 9th October 2018 at 1:00pm   Carmen Jones (1954)

Carmen Jones is a 1954 American musical film starring an all-black cast, led by Dorothy Dandridge and Harry Belafonte. It takes the music and story of Bizet’s opera Carmen set in Spain and transfers the action to 1940’s America. The original story of love, jealousy and passion is translated through the experiences of 20th century black Americans to create a rousing, glamorous musical.

Booking is recommended as places are limited. Please telephone QUAD Box office 01332 290606 - these screenings are not available to book online.
