Podcast: Bridging The Gap in Digital Participative Arts
How do we bridge the gap between participation in arts and digital participation in arts? QUAD’s Digital Participation Curator John Whall joins Creative Producer Alma Solarte-Tobon (City Arts Nottingham) and Youth Arts Worker Sophie Mackreth (High Peak Community Arts) in a podcast with Dr Rob Watson at Decentered Media.
The podcast has been made as part of a project to document digital participatory practice for ArtWorks Alliance, a national network championing participatory arts in the UK.
In the podcast John talks about QUAD’s digital participation programme, as well as the Digital Participation Expedition, a series of events that explore what we mean by “digital participation”, with the East Midlands Participatory Arts Forum (EMPAF).
