QUAD has partnered with Da Vinci Academy for a Digital Capabilities project giving Year 9 students the opportunity to experiment with different digital equipment and techniques as part of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) agenda funded by the Derby Opportunity Area fund via the Department for Education. Students will engage in workshops with professional artists whilst exploring the creative application and real-life professional contexts of digital media and technology. QUAD has partnered with Horizon’s 6th Form and St Martins School for a photography programme as part of the STEAM agenda, funded by the Derby Opportunity Area fund via the Department for Education. The programme will test the impact of creative learning at QUAD on student achievement and progression. QUAD and the participating schools will explore how working together in a long-term programme can support longevity of skills development across the curriculum and beyond, as well as giving insights into creative career pathways, including exhibiting the resulting artwork in QUAD.
