QUAD in Derby received the positive news today of an award of £245,000 from the Arts Council England Culture Recovery Fund.
QUAD plays a crucial role as a cultural hub for Derby, the funding means we can continue to serve our audiences offering a full programme of art and film, as well as online content and workshops for those who are not able to access the venue at the moment.
QUAD is delighted to be a part of Peer to Peer: UK/HK Online Festival, inspiring arts exchange between the UK and Hong Kong. Running 11 – 14 November, the festival will include online exhibitions of new and existing art, public events and panel discussions. Registration opens 21 October!
QUAD is sorry to hear about the Cineworld closures and the devastating news for their staff. It certainly is proving to currently be a set of very challenging circumstances for the film industry.
We wanted to reassure our customers that due to being an independent venue showing a mix of independent, foreign language and arthouse cinema as well as blockbuster releases, QUAD is more resilient to these market forces.
QUAD is thrilled to announce that the ground-breaking artist Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley is QUAD International Digital Fellow 2020 - 2021. They work predominantly in animation, sound, performance and video games to communicate the experiences of being a Black Trans person.
