Focus On Shakespeare: Films, Live Cinema and Courses

Join us to celebrate the life and works of William Shakespeare, in the run up to his 455th birthday, and beyond! 🎈

We have a feast of events coming up that explore some of the finest works by Shakespeare; whether you want to watch a big-screen adaptation of The Tempest or Macbeth or discover a Royal Shakespeare Company production of The Taming Of The Shrew or Measure For Measure, we have something for you.

Can you have too much of a good thing? We think not. That's why we've teamed up with Ben Spiller, artistic director of 1623, QUAD’s award-winning resident Shakespeare company, for three one-day courses dedicated to some of Shakespeare's greatest works: The Tempest, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet.  Delve into these fantastic tales of comedy, tragedy and suspense and rediscover one of the world's most hailed literary figure in a new light.

1623's latest show is QUEER LADY M, a fabulous fusion of Shakespeare, autobiography and drag that celebrates LGBTQ+ identity. Click here to watch the trailer before the national tour this autumn.
