18 March 2024

QUAD will bring a selection of best-selling films to scenic venues between 16 August and 15 September as part of their Summer Nights outdoor film festival 2024.

Kickstarting the programme is The Children’s Country House at Sudbury Hall in Ashbourne, which will play host to Barbie on Friday 16th August followed by Wonka on Saturday 17th August. For September, the QUAD team will then head to Harlow Carr in Harrogate to bring audiences Barbie on Friday 13th Septmeber, Wonka on Saturday 14th September and finally Mamma Mia on Sunday 15th September.

Summer Nights Organiser, Adam Crowther says “Barbie and Wonka have captured the imagination of film goers nationwide, don’t miss your opportunity to experience them with friends and family amongst beautiful surroundings. Enjoy a film under the stars this summer, with the Summer Nights Film Festival”

Customers are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to the screenings as no formal seating arrangements will be in place on the day. QUAD are also asking attendees to prepare for the good old British weather and dress appropriately while being mindful not to obstruct others view from the screen with umbrellas etc.

Some venues will have some food and drink provision available to purchase on the night, but customers are also welcome to bring their own food & drink.

Doors will open at each venue at approximately 6.00pm and the film will commence when natural light levels are sufficiently low, this will be approximately 30 minutes after sunset.

Tickets are £14 for adults and £10.00 under 12s (under 5s are free). Each ticket is subject to a £1 transaction fee that goes directly to QUAD. Tickets are available to purchase now via the QUAD website, via the in-person Box Office or by calling 01332 290 606.
