A wonderful coming-of-age story about three slackers in Hakodate, living a carefree life – in turns exuberant and melancholic. Nights are for clubbing, karaoke and billiards. But what sort of life it is and how long can only live in the moment are questions which hang over the trio as they begin to look at themselves and finally face their futures. Reminiscent of Richard Linklater, this is an adaptation of author Sato Yasushi’s novel and played the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year.
