Making Noise Quietly

Acclaimed theatre director Dominic Dromgoole makes his feature film debut with this adaptation of a play by Robert Holman. A triptych of encounters spanning the years from 1944 to 1996. In 1944 in Kent, a conscientious objector and a roaming artist find friendship, as World War II unfolds across the Channel. In 1982 in Redcar, a berieved mother struggles with the memories of her son, lost in the Falklands War. In 1996, deep in the Black Forest, a holocaust survivor takes a young boy and his violent stepfather into her woodland home.
