In this fantastical tale, a young female factory worker is on the verge of marrying her boss when a mystical water sprite known as a kappa enters her life. What follows is a riotous and charming mixture of songs, dancing and sex which combines the musical form with the wild world of the Japanese pink film genre. Acclaimed director Imaoka, works alongside famed cinematographer Christopher Doyle (Hero, Chungking Express) with the memorable songs provided by French/German electro-indie band Stereo Total.
This screening will include an introduction by Satori Screen's Peter Munford.
