Successful indie author Dawn Brookes started writing three years ago and now earns a full-time income from self-publishing. She has sold the equivalent of 50,000 books since publishing her first book in 2016. Dawn is an authorpreneur member of the Alliance of Independent Authors. She is author of the 'Hurry up Nurse' series of memoirs and the 'Rachel Prince Mystery' series.
Her cosy series combines a unique blend of murder, cruising and medicine with a touch of romance.
Dawn has a thirty-nine year nursing pedigree and takes regular cruise holidays for research purposes as her mysteries are set on a cruise liner! She has demonstrated that it is possible to be successful as an Indie author in the present climate and was approached by an independent publisher this year who offered to commission the first book in a new series and a further vocational memoir.
