19th July 2019 10:00am - 1:00pm, FREE book via Eventbrite
Utopia Arts’ Frances Rifkin presents this Interactive, participant-led training workshop to demonstrate how Forum Theatre techniques and Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed teachings help organisations examine their organisational processes and practices for fresh perspectives and change inside and out.
For more than 40 yrs Fran’s work has been informed by a continual dialogue around society and questions of ethics and participation encountered by arts professionals working in community environments and less formal mainstream entertainment industry settings.
In these circumstances working with the young, the vulnerable, the elderly, migrants as well as HR and working directly with the general public there is a need to define boundaries and enforce those boundaries with conscience and compassion while keeping everyone safe and engaged.
Utopia Arts Training brings Fran’s expertise directly to your organisation. Questioning and challenging, interrogating for innovation and future stability.
Learning through participation is, in essence, the nature of a workshop. Frances Rifkin is inviting Midlands based participatory arts workers to this FREE workshop to help attendees gain an insight into what UtopiaArts can bring to an organisation.
There are 20 places to explore collaborative partnership possibilities.
This is a complimentary workshop touching on the practice led training topics UtopiaArts cover.
