QUAD is a fully accessible building, with an automatic front door (push button), a lift to the upper floors, wheelchair area in the cinemas, and accessible toilets on every floor.
Accessibility at QUAD
Access spaces are available in all three cinemas that can be used independently or can be situated next to seats for carers or companions.
If you require access spaces in the cinema, please use the contact options below to check the availability for the screening of your choice.
We are proud to have WatchWord glasses available to customers, allowing you to view subtitles for participating films.
Dolby handsets and headphones are also available for amplified audio and audio description for participating films.

Get in touchSubtitled Film Screenings
Wherever possible, we show descriptive subtitled screenings. Descriptive subtitling is a service for the hearing-impaired or D/deaf customers who rely on English subtitling. Our programme also contains many films subtitled into English from other languages which may also be suitable.
Films and events available with caption subtitles and BSL are indicated on our website listings and in print.
CredAbility
QUAD is proud to be an accredited CredAbility Provider and a CredAbility Verified Accessible building.
CredAbility has been designed by disabled and older people to enable providers to prove that their services are competent and compliant. As an accredited provider we are committed to promoting independence, choice and control for all customers and actively promoting disability equality. We constantly strive to improve services to disabled customers and actively seek feedback from customers in order to be creative and transparent in designing and delivering services for disabled customers.
As a Verified Accessible building you can be assured that we have invested in making our building accessible in line with legal requirements and that this has been verified by one of Nimbus’ qualified Access Auditors.
QUAD is pleased to accept the CredAbility Access card and offers discounted ticket rates for cardholders. Assistance Dogs
Fully trained assistance dogs with formal identification are welcome in the building and cinemas to accompany customers with access needs. If you are coming to watch a film, please speak to a member of staff to reserve seats for you on the access row where your dog will be able to sit in an access space next to you.
Our Seating
Our cinema seats are 50cm wide, the back of the chairs are 74cm in height, they are 43cm from the floor and the arm rests are 10cm x 33xm.
