Folk horror continues to enjoy its sinister moment in the sun, and Darkness in the Fields returns for its film festival with some of the very best new offerings in the subgenres! Join us for a day exploring the dark forests, watching the strangest cults and facing the terrifying monsters you’d expect from folk horror, with a range of films throughout the day along with our folk horror merchandise stall.
Our call-out for short films and features is now open at Darkness in the Fields Film Festival 2027 - FilmFreeway, giving you the chance to get your work on the big screen on the day!

This event will have unreserved seating. However if you have an access requirement and would benefit from sitting in a specific seat, please email us and let us know and we will reserve the seat for you on the day.
