Based on Bram Stoker’s 1911 novel, Ken Russell’s 1988 movie presents a loose adaptation of the novel with a sterling British cast including Peter Capaldi, Amanda Donohoe and Hugh Grant. Taking place in Derbyshire, the story follows archaeology student Angus Flint as his research takes him into a strange and dark world of serpentine gods and human sacrifice.

A wild and exuberant movie that has gathered a cult following over the years, this one is bound to speak to fans of Stoker, Russell and Derbyshire Gothic alike.
