Writing Workshop – Making A Monster

Horror history is replete with monsters that to this day fill us with fear – but how can we ensure that we keep the classics fresh, and how might we build our own new monstrous creations?

In this session Alex Davis will be looking at some of the most cursed creatures in the genre, what makes them so popular and so terrifying, and exploring ways in which we can develop our own nightmarish creations to keep readers awake at night. Expect a blend of lecture content, writing exercises and group discussion points on the evening.
