Anime-A-Go-Go

After three hugely successful all-day events focusing on Godzilla and other giant monsters from Japan, QUAD is expanding its outlook for a day taking a look at the world of anime, on Saturday 10 January 2026.

Manga Entertainment launched in the UK in 1991, immediately birthing a subculture of fans devoted to the new and spectacular world of Japanese animation. For an anime fan a trip to HMV or the Virgin Megastore was not complete without heading down the VHS aisle to see what new and mild-altering Japanese animated film or series Manga had brought to the UK.

Join us as QUAD journeys back in time for four big screen showings of some 80s/90s anime classics in a single day.

Programmed by Peter Munford of Satori Screen and Dan Keeling of Porlock Press.

Screening schedule:

1:00pm – Patlabor The Movie (PG)

3:00pm – Macross Plus Movie Edition (12A)

6:30pm – Memories (12A)

8:45pm – Perfect Blue (18)

Passes to see all 4 films at Anime-A-Go-Go are priced at £30 (standard) and £25 (concessions). Just add a ticket to each of the four films at the relevant price band to your basket and a discount will be applied during checkout. Individual film tickets are also available at QUAD’s normal ticket prices.
