Young Creatives: Innovative projects for Young People aged 12-18 who are interested in creative careers.
Interested in developing skills in 3D Modelling, Animation and World Building? This project is for you!
Inspired by QUAD’s current exhibiting artist Seema Mattu and delivered by digital artist John Whall, in this 6-week project participants will explore a range of digital apps with a focus on Blender to create their own digital avatar and a realm for them to live in! By the end of the project, participants will have produced a short animation featuring their created character from inside their unique world. Completed work may be exhibited at QUAD!
This project is perfect for young people looking to develop skills in 3D Digital Art suites.
Examples of skills you will develop during this project:
– Character and environment development, building narratives
– Using size, scale, ergonomics and anthropometrics, viewpoint, perspective.
– Produce and import assets
– Developing kinematics, object hierarchy, pivot points
– Using industry standard technology including Apple Macs and Blender
