Whilst working as a chorus girl at her boyfriend’s nightclub, ambitious Rusty Parker sets her sights on stardom and enters a cover girl contest. After being recruited by a wealthy magazine editor and landing a starring role in a hit Broadway show produced for her by a hopeful suitor, Rusty’s old life and old loyalties become increasingly distant.
