I Swear is the inspirational true life story of Tourettes Syndrome campaigner John Davidson. Diagnosed with Tourette’s at 15, targeted as ‘insane’ by his peers, he struggled with a condition few had witnessed. Campaigning for better understanding and acceptance of the condition of Tourette’s as an adult, he finds his life’s purpose and accepted his MBE from the Queen in 2019. This funny, moving and life affirming film stars Robert Aramayo as John, with Maxine Peake, Shirley Henderson and Peter Mullan.

This preview screening is part of QUAD’s 17th Birthday party and will be the first film screened in the newly named Metro Cinema Screen (previously known as Cinema Two). The film will also feature a short introduction from QUAD’s Head of Film Adam J Marsh
